Our Location
Mátra Wildlife Tours is based in the village of Mátrafüred, which is located in the central Mátra Mountains, Hungary's highest region. The main town of Gyöngyös lies seven kilometres to the south of the village, and a few kilometres further south is the M3 motorway - the direct link to Budapest, which lies about 80 kilometres to the west.

| Although the volcanic Mátra mountain range is inactive, it's sometimes easy to imagine that an eruption is about to happen when the sun sets behind the cones !
